Software Defined Radio
The activity of LOG.IN - Servizi e Sistemi Avanzati per L'Elettronica SrL in the area of Software Defined Radio (SDR) is related to the design and development of receiving systems and of real-time application software, mainly oriented towards the making of systems for the monitoring and surveillance of the radio-electric spectrum.
The development of a Multichannel Digital Monitoring and Analysis System (20 MHz – 3,000 MHz) based on Software Communication Architecture (SIMADM/SCA) is underway and will soon be completed by LOG.IN - Servizi e Sistemi Avanzati per L'Elettronica SrL.
The SIMADM/SCA project is aimed at the development of SIGINT functionalities on standard software architectures and is targeted to favor integration between Communications and Intelligence in the C4ISR systems.
The advantages deriving from the SCA architecture consist basically in the growing availability of SCA wave forms, to be used for Hands-off purposes in place of or in addition to COTS demodulators and decoders (all on the same computation platform).
The project was funded by the Italian Ministry of Defense – Segredifesa/DNA, in the scope of the National Plan for Military Research (PNRM). For the development of the Project, LOG.IN - Servizi e Sistemi Avanzati per L'Elettronica SrL was supported by the Communication Research Centre (CRC) of Canada, which certified the conformity of the SIMADM/SCA to SCA Rev.2.2
